R2 Records’ connection with Osunlade dates back to the label’s inception, having had the honour of presenting his first-ever mix compilation “Offering” in 2002 where he lay down the template for his unique vision of what dance music could be.

In an age of endless streaming options and availability of mixes and radio shows the compilation and mix format might seem superfluous, but there is still something to be said for excellence in the curation and weaving of a narrative – especially at the hands of a true master of the craft.

Osunlade’s music, be it his own productions or his DJ sets, ring with an authenticity of spirit and pureness of artistic intent - music as a universal language that speaks to the soul, not vapid entertainment or a mere commodity, but something far more essential: to be taken out of the confines of space and time and swept into a dreamlike journey - as anyone who has witnessed his DJ sets will attest.

Osunlade’s mixes always speak to the moment, and after an unprecedented couple of years for the planet “The Healing” arrives as a response for a future beyond these seismic shifts.
